Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Austin office. This role involves managing cases with a focus on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters. The primary emphasis is on judicial foreclosure actions, and the associate will work to protect clients' interests throughout litigation proceedings.

Duties: 

  • Manage cases from inception to completion, focusing on residential real estate and mortgage litigation.
  • Prepare case analyses and advise clients on strategies for litigation.
  • Draft court pleadings and handle defense motions.
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonically and in person, as required.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as needed.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the State Bar.
  • 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or mortgage law, preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education: 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications: 

  • Active membership in the State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet research tools.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks.
